Do you keep your bathroom activities private from your spouse?
|
My first husband was very private about bathing, peeing, pooing, shaving and would not dream of doing them when I was in the room. My current spouse is totally the opposite and expects me to be ok with it too. I'm fine with bathing and peeing but pooing and hair removal is definatly a locked bathroom door affair!
Just wondered how others feel on this issue. Are you comfortable doing all your bathroom stuff in front of your spouse or is there some things you like to keep under wraps?

Nr 2 is done in private ! ALWAYS.
That is good manners, etiquette, even if some others do not think so.
Only in the army while doing an operation is it OK to hear, see & smell your buddy during a nr 2.
Shaving is OK, but not nail clipping and removal of hair from other parts of the body.
Nr 1 and bathing is optional.
I think you need to diplomatically explain to him that you want to remain the lady he admires and that you need privacy.
Manners has always been a good thing, it keeps us from becoming barbarians. |

I think the best part of most marriages is that there really isn't a set policy but rather a per-case basis decision made depending on how nasty the job is. I like privacy more than my wife but really don't mind things since I had to be there for all of my childrens c-sections. |

my wife and I feel we are more relaxed about some things than others. for example a wee isn't a big deal or is brushing ones teeth. a poo and clipping toe nails is a closed door affair.
every couple will have different parameters according to how the feel and grew up etc. it isn't important as long as both are happy and one does not feel shy or embarrassed etc. |

er... some things should be kept private, thats just my opinion, I dont want to see my partner go to the toilet no desire to, I mean it wouldnt exactly turn me off him, but its not something I want to see everyday for gods sakes.. I would not do it ever in front of my partner, its something we all do we all know that but in front of each other.. what are we living in a third world country where there are no doors??, so its not a huge issue but seriously why? |

My husband is very open about all his activities. I on the other hand like to keep everything a mystery. |

Me and my fiancee are so comfortable with each other we dont mind any of that except number too because that is quite different and embarassing and private for both of us. We tell each other if we need to go but not be in the same room. But peeing, shaving, bathing etc. is all ok i mean we're going to spend the rest of our lives together so bathroom habits arnt really a problem. |

Each party of couple should be able to say what they are comfortable with, and what they are not, and the other party should be able to respect that. Personally, between Hubby and I, the toilet activities "...peeing, pooing..." are closed door activities. The bathroom ones "bathing...shaving/hair removal" are not necessarily. But that is a mutual decision between the pair of us. |
