I live in the US. :)
I'm 14, almost 15.
& I'm a female.
I do support gay marriage.
I don't think it is right to keep someone from being with someone they love. It's not up to you to choose who marries who or who loves who.
It ticks me off when I hear people say "it's not right, look in the bible!" something along those lines. I mean, sometimes you just need to think for yourself, and take your mind off the bible/religion.
People can love who they want. It is not wrong to love the same gender, or both.
I'm straight, but I do believe in gay marriage. |

Yes I do. Two people who love each other should be able to wed. It's their right as human beings. Religion should have absolutely no say in this. California, Female, 53, straight. |

No, I don't. Colorado, 44, Marriage is a union between a man and a woman. You don't have to married to get someone you care for something. Just have it in your will and be done with. I also think there enough confusion for the kids who might think it all right to have two mom or dads.
There is no laws against who you fall in love with, it is the law that if you want to be married, one man and one woman. |

Marriage is defined as a man and woman. You can't just go changing definitions based on politically correct whims. Everyone is turning this into a religious debate, but it has nothing to do with religion for many people, myself included.
I support civil unions, and equal rights for gay couples, and tax breaks and the ability to adopt, absolutely. But to say they can be "married?" Nope. |

I am 16, a female, and straight. I think gay marriage is a great thing. I think it would be horrible to be told that I can't love who I love and I can't marry someone just because others don't think it is right. So, I think gay marriage is 100% acceptable. |

I do not support gay marriage because I feel that marriage has and should always be between a man and a woman. However I am not a radical, religious republican. I feel this way because I think that nature setup a man and a woman to fall in love and stay together because they need to produce children for the next generation. We called this union marriage because it is a social sign of being collective as one. When two males or females marry they are working against nature as two males or two females cannot produce children. This is wrong because they whole point of life marriages is for the creation of children. This is the way nature set things up and this is the way it is suppose to be. I live in Ontario, Canada, I am 17 and male. If you want to know anything else about this or related to politics feel free to IM or email me. Hope this helps. Cheers! |

I am 18, female and I live in CO. I support gay marriage. I really don't mind it at all, whatever makes someone else happy. Who cares if it doesn't affect you? People that do not support it should just stay out of other people's business and mind their own! |

Absolutely I do. It's awfully hateful and discriminatory not to. It's sickening that we're in year 2009 and people are still debating about this. |

Well, I think marriage is between a man and woman. Marriage is before God. HOWEVER, civil unions with the same rights and responsibilities between gay people isn't a problem for me. I don't think it's up to me to judge how other people live their lives, even if it's not something I would do for myself. I'm 30/f...originally from Cali |

OF COURSE I DO! Marriage should have nothing to do with gender, its for people who love each other!!
I recently watched a movie called "what happens in Vegas" and it was about two people who got drunk and got married in vegas. The judge told them that THEY are the kind of people that screw with the sanctity of marriage and I agree! Why would it be ok for people who dont even know each other to wed then divorce a month later, while there are gay people out there who are soulmates and its freekin illegal?
I think gay people should have just as much right as the rest of us because they are still human beings, who the hell cares what they do in their spare time?? I have never met a bad gay person, they have all been wonderful and kind and I think its a sad world we live in when religious fanatics think they are doing the right thing by forcing their beliefs down everyone elses throats. Religion and ploitics should have nothing to do with each other and gay people should live just as freely as christians.
I live in MN, I am 23 and I am a lady...because you asked. :)
Hope I was able to help!! |

I belive that gay's should be allowed to have the same rights that married people do with their Civil Union. (i.e. Insurance, benificiary, etc.)
But I believe Marriage, under the eyes of God, should remain between a Man and a Woman. |
