If you always leave dirty dishes in the sink...they'll always be in the sink. If you like to go bowling every Thursday...you're going bowling. Yes, you can compromise and while you may go bowling every other Thursday so you can have a date night...well...you like bowling so you're not going to give that up!

Now...there is a beautiful thing about marriage. You change inside and grow as your love grows. You realize you belong to someone else and that's truly a beatuiful and wonderful change. You're more willing to compromise and make it work. Not true for those who don't believe marriage is a big deal. Please don't mis-understand that.

So while your habits may not change a lot I believe marriage does make your relationship more beautiful and stronger...if both parties believe in the importance and significance of marriage.

in some cases i guess.. but i dont believe so personally. For example one things that i love about my marriage to my husband is that nothing really changed. We still have the same love for eachother and being "married" hasnt really brought problems into our relationship except for maybe his mom doesnt like me? lol..but who cares he loves me and thats all that matters.

but it would be different say if you are using marriage in hopes that things will get better..because like i said it doesnt really change that much..it essentially is just a certificate and a ring so unless someone really understands what to be married means and everything that comes with it.. and forever REALLY meaning forever then you shouldnt get married... so i guess my answer is NO. you will not change just because you are married.

Everybody changes when they get married. They are now sharing their life with someone else. But that change shouldnt be bad. If the change is bad, then it is that persons fault.

I have been married for two weeks and the only change so far (besides my name) is that we feel closer somehow. I know that some people do change drastically, however that may be a result of not really knowing each other prior to getting married.

A stupid ceremony isn't going to "change" you. If you do change just because you got married, your husband is going to be wondering "where is the girl I married?," and then it's all downhill from there.

Yes, I am married and my husband and I thought when we were engaged that the changes we'd see were that we would become closer and that I'd take his name but in actually fact being married changes you in other ways too
