Do you think married people are happier or single people?

Married people are generally happier but those in any form of relationship can be happier

I say that because No one likes to be alone

and they have a family and someone that loves them
IM Single and I wish I was not alone
everyone in my family is married and they all Look happy and when I ask them how there life is???

they say they are MUCH happier now then when they where Single

don't get me wrong they have there ups and downs but

at the end of the day they have someone that Loves them and they can go home knowing that they are loved and with someone
that's why its always good to marry someone that will be good to you Only people that don't love someone would say that married life is bad but its only because they didn't marry the right person

To me it really depends on the person. Like to me I think your happier married cause i have a partner to help you no matter what. hopefully you or they will be fully committed to you and not every one else. So being married would make me happier but like you have those others too ... they like to mingle with lots of people with out having a nagging wife saying "why you out so late ,, and why did you not answer my calls!" ... all kinds of complaints and some people just realize there better off alone.

The statistics say that married people are happier. However, I have been divorced for about 12 years, still single, and am happier now than I have been in a very long while.

Yes, I do! Relationships is what life is all about. To be able to function in a world full of human beings that have their own ideas about life, is a learning process that, when crowned with success, is most rewarding. Yes, Thoreau was happy on Walden Pond. But loneliness, connecting to nature, is only part of the process when we reach for happiness.

Well as someone who is divorced, I don't have anyone to answer to, I can do the things I want to do. If I feel like having cereal for dinner I will. There is no one to argue with over money, what movie to watch etc. Being divorced does have it's benefits.

I personally think loving married people are always happier-despite extra stresses.I was married for almost 25 years and despite the fact that eventually my ex was responsible for our divorce----I've never ever been as happy since our divorce--no matter how many relationships that came along since then.Nothing beats a happy marriage with both partners in love with each other.

you cant pin point this question with one answer, every marrige is different, every person is different, its what they feel there happyer in, some ppl are married and are beaten up, or raped, or cheated on, whereas some marriges are amazing and work,
but then some ppl are happy being single, whereas some ppl hate being single and are lonely.
each one is individul.

I've been both and I can honestly say that I was happier when I was single and I am definitely happier since being single again.
