I dint think it means that he doesn't love her because obviously he did at one time when he married her. Over time in a marriage, things become routine. In some women's frame of mind this becomes okay. It is a pattern and it has formed from day to day life. For some men that cheat they want the thrill of an affair while still having the stability of a wife at home. This applies to women also. I think if a man loves his wife and is truly devoted to her then he will never cheat.

People that love each other hurt each other all the time. So...no it doesnt mean that he doesnt love her...but it does mean that he is a failure as a husband. Once you cross that line there is no going back...and i dont care what anyone says...the marriage will never be the same...and in most cases falls apart.

My husband of 13yrs cheated on me almost 4 yrs ago. We decided to stay together. A year ago, I found out that he is having an affair again. I know I'm stupid but I forgave him on that one too........... Now, I know for sure that he is with different woman right now, and told me that he doesn't love me anymore and he wants a divorce. Well, I guess he could still love her, but definitely NOT in the way most wives need to be loved by their husbands. If my husband cheated on me, he could love me in that way at a very far distance.

It means that the husband has no respect left for her and she needs not to tolerate his behavior in this relationship and get him out of her life. When a man crosses the boundaries in his marriage it does not say to much about his morals and his character and cannot be trusted. When a wife is betrayed like this all the value is stripped from the relationship and nothing is held sacred anymore. The most important and intimate thing between a man and a woman in their marriage is the personal intimacy that they share and when that is taken away you can never feel safe and protected with them anymore and it changes everything. If a man can think to be remorseful and sorry for his actions against his wife he can feel just as bad about it before hand and not cross that line and not put this in the marriage for the rest of their lives. It's a horrible feeling when someone is betrayed like this because when you truly love somebody you can never do anything to hurt them.

I think that having "no self control" is a load of crap, he has no respect for his spouse, he isnt thinking of the repurcussions.

Why is it that men think that they can use the excuse that they are bored, or they want something new, and hurt peoples feelings like that? It's not on, lack of respect means lack of love. If someone truly loved someone else, they wouldnt be doing that sort of thing.

It might not mean that they dont love their spouse, just that they dont love them enough not to cheat on them.
