Does anyone have a good suggestion for a new hobby to start with your spouse with not alot of money?

I have recently gone through a lot and i feel we need to start a new hobby together, something cheap, or low key, that we can do at our leisure, or at night, since we are VERY nocturnal. We have a good telescope, and have been doing that, but would love to hear some new or any of ur ideas!

Stargazing sounds like a wonderful hobby for you guys! Because then you could down the line take road trips out to places that are wide open and good for gazing. :)

My hubby and I both love cooking. It's a cheap hobby because we have to eat anyways (might as well be fun, right?!). We like finding new recipes and trying them out, and finding ways to tweak them. And one of my hobbies is baking fruit pies from scratch...and one of my hubby's hobbies is eating fruit pies baked from scratch *wink*

This may sound childish, Puzzles the 3D kind. My Ex and i used to do that at night. It's cheap and fun

Hiking is a really great way to hang out and not feel like you're doing nothing. Plus you can see some really great places that most people don't get out to see.

You guys should start a business together. I mean it will keep you guys close. And it will be fun making the website together. You can make a free one at weebly, or google.

righteousjohnson
You could sell stuff on E-Bay.

Work from home. Hours of your choosing. Keeps your mind off of other things. Involves others. Clears out a lot of things that are just laying around the house.
You might even turn a profit.

kaykay
volunteer together at hospitals or animal shelters it makes you closer together and very rewarding!

Since you have a telescope, you could:

stargaze together
name constellations
watch the sunset?
spy on people [:

& other things without the telescope:
take a dancing class! like salsa
you guys can knit [:

Here is a great article for finding a hobby. it could be used for you both good luck.

There are so many possible hobbies. Choose one--or possibly more than one--that suits you. A hobby should be something that when you get up in the morning on your day off, you will be able to say, "Great, today I can enjoy my hobby," or "I can't wait to get home from work, because your hobby is waiting for you"! You should be so absorbed when doing your hobby that you may even loose track of time. A hobby can bring tremendous joy and satisfaction to the young or old. It should be custom fit to what you want to be doing with your valuable spare time.

Finding the right hobby takes a little thought and experiment. Read on to learn how to find the right one for you!
Ask yourself these questions about each hobby on your list:

1) Can I afford this hobby financially? Consider tools and supplies.
2) Do I have a place to work on my hobby; or would I need to rent out a garage or studio?
3) Will my hobby offend others? For instance, oil painting in the house will surely create an odor.
4) Can I get started right away; or will set up take a long time?
5) Can I work on my hobby whatever the season?
6) Consider if the hobby will be self satisfying and productive?
7) Most importantly, will you "enjoy" the hobby; or might it feel like another job?
Step3After asking yourself the above questions, begin to eliminate any of the hobbies that are unrealistic, for whatever the reason, financial or otherwise.
Step4The list of hobbies remaining on your list should be those that you can afford, are realistic, will not disturb those around you and--most importantly--those that you feel you will enjoy.
Step5From what remains on your list, you should now be able to find a hobby to get started with. There is no rule against having more than one hobby!

a friend of mine got very into bare beading with her husnabnd, which just involves glue, beads and feathers and other artsy material you can buy from a craft store low cost and you just decorate each others backsides, and pretend its an art show, some people take pictures of it and post it up on Flickr, for contests, You really cant see the butt because its covered with art material, but its different and very artistic.
