I am just curious to know. I am 22, never married or even had a bf, so it is not related to me
My friend told me how horrible he felt when his parents got a divorce and he got involved in all sorts of bad things including drugs.
Do you think when he will get married, he would be more inclined to get a divorce from an unhappy marriage or less?
Why do ppl divorce? I understand divorce is a must if the husband is abusive, rapes, or illtreats his wife. but other than that are there any more reasons?

And how can ppl divorce their wife just because they liked someone else after marriage for example Mel Gibson.

Divorce is always affecting the children but depends of the parents how much the children suffer. if the parents are using the children in their fight the children are very affected. |

Yes it can affect children. The best things the parents can do is talk to their children and make sure they are ok and leave them out of the process. All the other stuff. sorry but go get some life experience. You will have to see. |

It's devastating for children. People divorce for all sorts of reasons, many of them petty or dumb. As for your friend - I doubt he'd put much faith in marriage having seen what he's seen. |

Yes it affects children in a very basic very deep way. Basically their entire world,everything they know about the way thing are is torn apart and destroyed. It is gone forever and the only thing the kids want is to have things back like they were when you were all family. Many people never really get over this and it is the cause for a lot of childhood, adolesent, and even adult acting out. Divorce hurts the children the worst and they have the least to say about it. |

I went threw a divorce also, my (our) children spent time with him after our's. We did make it, I understand about doing drugs, but they were young during it. Where does the blame go? Life can be just as hard even when your together..As for Mel I don't compare him to my ex at all. |
