Not everyone; once you understand how it happened and there really is a mutual failing in the marriage it makes it possible to reconcile.

Take care of your mate... or someone else will.

No, sorry.

There are certain instances where infidelity should never be forgiven.

ask yourself that ,if you are unfaithful to someone once do you think you deserve another chance ,well I think everyone deserve a second chance ,the third and forth is what I have a problem with

i think that people who cheat should just be smart enough not to date. sticking with one person is tough no matter how good looking or great they are. people rush the serious commitments when i don't believe they are ready.

if there was not a good reason for being so than there is no way for another chance , who does it once 99.9% will do it again .
sorry to say this but this is the truth .

it would really depend on their level of remorse and how hard they were willing to work to regain your trust. if it were a one time thing, and it was a good relationship before it happened i would consider giving another chance.

No, not everyone. I guess it depends on the person. Is this person is truly sorry? If forgiveness was given, would they just do it again? What led up to this person's infidelity? Where does your blame come in at? I'm sure you weren't the perfect partner yourself, I'm not speaking about infidelity. Somewhere down the line you left your partner. They felt the need to find what they were lacking from you. Their was a lack of communication with the both of you. I believe a couple is to take responsibility for infidelity, not just one of the players in the relationship. Also, counseling can help the both of you to learn forgiveness, and prevent this from happening again, and NO I don't think cheating is ever the right approach when you become unhappy in a relationship. However, we are all human, and sometimes make mistakes. If you love this person, I hope through counseling the both of you can learn how to become closer with one another..

It is really up to you how much the relationship means to you. Some will tell you that once a cheater always a cheater, but I think there are situations that come up that can cause someone to make a mistake that they would never have considered doing in the first place, let alone repeat it. If you love the person then you should try to work past it and not let the opportunity for it to happen again come up. Ask yourself why it happened and fix it. If the relationship was perfect and it happened anyway then the chances of it happening again are more likely than if it happened when things weren't going so great. One thing you need to do is make sure the person knows exactly how it made you feel. If they really love you they would never want to do that to you again. If you don't let them know how you felt they will never know.

ONLY 1 CHANCE...

no more after that.

Everybody does stupid things, It shouldn't cost them everything they want in life...

Ramy
Yes, but ONLY ONE CHANCE. After that he/she repeats it, It should be GOODBYE..

cindy w
Absolutely. As someone said, would we want a second chance ourselves if we sinned against our spouse?? Of course. Many, many marriages become STRONGER when true repentance occurs and then forgiveness is extended to the one who sinned. Blessings........
