I'm sorta old fashioned and don't know all the cues that men use to show women they are interested. There is a man a little older than me that I'm interested in and was never married. When I talk about my ex, he seems to mildly lament with me occasionally... but usually changes the topic to something else or doesn't respond. Whats up with this? Also, he will call me/vice versa and we talk like we get along great. When I am in public with this person he usually like walks me to my car always. Once I ran into em at a party and he was in one room I walked into. I went back to the room I was in. When he saw me he sprung up and came into my room and stayed the entire time talking but talking alot to me. He tells me his personal life and asks stuff about mine sometimes. He's also been checking me out I think?

Are these signs that he wants a friend or wha?

he might be more interested in 'benefits' than friends. He seems like a nice person, but aren't all guys the same way when they are looking to get something in return?
