Yes it does, but most wouldn't want to even date for a while. You are free to do what you feel is right for you. |

That's one heck of a question. Not only is your husband not cold, he's not dead yet! God, my heart will be ripped right out of my chest if I lost my husband. I don't know if I could even continue living, let alone love again. Did you reserve a burial plot and another man too?
But, yes. You are able to marry again whenever you want. Try not to hook up with another guy in the same week if your husband died of suspicious causes.

I believe you are legally able to marry again. Spouses die while the widow(er) may remarry. It happens all the time. You're spouse is not there to divorce you, so you're single.
Morally, I think one should mourn not in the arms of another lover. It may be for comfort, but it will cause more hurt and confusion for all involved. |

For morality reasons, it should lbe longer.
I would wait at least a year or more.

If you loved and respected your spouse, I think you should at least wait two years before you start dating again. If you two had children together, dating soon after may emotionally effect them. Wait at least three years before remarrying. |
