Ex's acting like each other doesn't exist?

Sorry for asking in this section, I just want more experienced answers.

My ex and I broke up on New Years. He never knew what he wanted; and was very hot and cold with me. He is the one who stopped talking to me, and I didn't say anything after that, because he has done it before, so I was like; what's the use in trying to talk about it? He wouldn't try to work it out. We have not talked since Feb., via texting, because he texted me first. It wasn't about anything significant. He texted me again in March, but I didn't respond. Shortly after that, he got a girlfriend. Me and him have classes together, and we just act like each other doesn't exist. Is this normal?

We live in a small city, so I inevitably see him driving from time to time. It makes me wonder about how he is doing. Is it likely that he ever wonders about me?

This is my first break up, and I am 17. I still think it's weird how one can go from hugging and kissing to acting like each other doesn't exist. I sort of wish we were on friendly terms; but it's not something I would go out of my way for, because he was the one who always tossed me around. Wanting me back, then not wanting me, to wanting me again, etc...

2) If he was around 19 or 20 years old then he just hasn't matured yet. Guys get more serious about relationships around age 27 when they have established who they around in regards to their career, and feel financially secure.

Yea. Although, you think about how weird it is you two don't talk. He probably isn't even thinking about it. Guys deal with break ups by suppressing their feelings and avoidance. So he doesn't waste his time thinking about you (I'm not saying your a waste of time, just how he views you right now).

I know, it's a huge culture shock. One minute you're in a loving relationship, then next your single. Use this time to yur advantage. Look inward. Figure out what your interest are and what makes you happy. Anything you've ever wanted to do but you couldn't because of your relationship with this guy? Well, do it now. Think about all the positive things in your life.

You deserve nothing but the best. MAke sure you hold your next boyfriend to higher standards so you won't be tossed around the same way.

P.S. Normally I hate people who post here who aren't getting married or divorced, but because you acknowledged you were sorry for asking in the wrong section but looking for a more mature answer, I felt obligated to help a girl out. =)

It's perfectly normal to feel the way you do.

Yeah, I'm sure he still thinks about you. Ignoring each other is just both our your ways of dealing with the breakup. Maybe after more time passes it'll be easier to speak to each other.

sadly it doesnt stop no matter what age you are, my guy is 40 and is hot and cold all the time, men are just selfish losers, ignore them, they want what they cant have.

Perhaps it's time to grow up and stop playing the games. You seem to want more and you're not going to get more until you get past the boys and get with the men.
