For those who got a divorce before,are you happy in your 2nd marriage?

I am very happy. A few years after my divorce I invited Christ into my life and things have never been better. After my divorce I was involved in several relationships,(not simultaneously of course). Of those relationships, one or two of them could have possibly resulted in happy marriages, had I been in the right state of mind. It wasn't until I took a little time off from dating and did some soul searching that I discovered I was bringing the hurt, anger and frustrations of my previous marriage, into each of these NEW relationships. I think this is perhaps the reason most second, third, fourth, etc, etc, etc, marriages fail, this and the fact that most people in our society take marriage lightly. Marriage is a lifetime commitment and I vowed after my divorce when I got married again IT WOULD BE FOR KEEPS. For me it took,14 years, but I am happy to report that my wife and I are approaching our 3 year anniversary and things couldn't be better. Even though both my wife and I are devout Christians it still takes a great deal of work, commitment and prayer on both our parts to make our marriage a success. My advice to divorcees is to give yourself time to get over the hurt and pain of your failed marriage before entering into new relationships. As the saying goes, "You can't hurry love." I also recommend establishing a personal relationship with God and just putting the whole situation of marriage in His hands. It sure worked for me and my wife. Peace and God bless.

It depends on whether you learn from your former mistakes and pick better matches. My mom got divorced twice, and only when meeting her third husband, did she finally become happy and settle down for good.

I was married to my 1st wife for 7 1/2 years when I came hme from work and found her in bed asleep with my best friend. (what a friend huh!) I met my 2nd wife 3 years after that and married after being together 3 years. I have never been more happy. We complete each other.

I was married to my first husband for 12 years. It took me 9 years to meet someone I could even consider trying it again with. I am glad that I di. We have been happy together for 29 years.

I am on Marriage # 2 and am so miserable it's not even funny. I think I will be one divorce #2 before the year is out,in comparison my first marriage was awesome. I think its all about taking the time to find the right person, for me personally; too get married again will take a miracle.

very happy in my second marriage.....a gap of ten years from when my ex left (after 22 years of marriage) to when I married my husband, met him one year before we married (we had been on line pen pals for 2 years before that)...wasn't even looking lol just one day, Whap!

I can definitely say that I am happier in my second marriage than my first, but I am not totally happy in my marriage. It took about a month for me to meet my husband after my divorce was final.

I am happier than ever before, in my 4th marriage. Between one and two about 5 years... between two and three 5 months... between three and four 3 years. My husband is also on number 4... we are not proud of it, but we had ex spouses who lied, cheated or gambled and did not know how to love. For the first time we both had our moms say they have never seen us happier, that is the best gift.
