I got married in November and have maybe seen or been invited to hang out with my friends 1 time. I know that they are still in college and have alot going on, but when we try to make plans they say they are busy.. but then I see photos from that same weekend where they have either gotten together or gone out with other people. I live in a city where the only people I know are my husbands family and his friends. It's hard enough not seeing my family and it really hurts my feelings when I invite my friends to do things and they blow me off. I have another friend that is married and they still spend time with her. What should I do or say? sorry this is so long..

Maybe they don't like the way you've become once you got married. Maybe whenever you hang out with them all you really ever talk about is your husband or married life. Since they can't relate or just get annoyed because you don't talk about anything else (hobbies that don't involve your husband, for instance) then they'd rather not hang around you anymore.
They could still hang out with the other married friend because she has more to talk about than washing dishes or spending another boring evening alone with her husband. |

Maybe they don't like the fact you always ask them to come see you. What about going to hang out with them? Or maybe the other married friend doesn't act so married? I would confront them about it and see what's up. |
