I was just wondering if anyone here got along better or stayed friends with their husband or ex-husband after getting a divorce or seperating? If so, what made you finally decide to split up and how long were you together?

Yes. My husband and I split up after a total of 7 years together and 4 them were spent married. We split because he had some childhood abuse he suffered that was causing him issues and causing him to question what he wanted in life. We split in 97 and stayed friends until 2008. I remarried in 2007, and he attended my wedding. He has been like a brother to me. I am still very close with his family and talk to his mom regularly.
My husband is very secure and has no problem with mine and my ex's friendship. However, he started dating someone last year, and she must not be able to handle it. I have not heard from him in 7 months. I miss the friendship but if he is happy, I am happy that he has finally found someone. |
