but insist on calling you names like "baby", "sweetie", "little girl", but never by your 1st name...what does that say about them? My friend said it's player-ish, especially after 1 phone conversation...what do you think?

I think alot of guys use the sweety thing in hopes you will be sweet, alot of women can go from sweet to ***** in seconds, so maybe its a hope, like hi sweety, kisses, stay sweet hahahahaha. |

You just made me realize that only ONE of my ex's ever said my name on a normal basis. All the others used the names you stated or some other "pet" name. Wow. Doesn't surprise me though. |

That way when he send a text to the wrong baby, sweetie. little girl or baby doll.. he is still good! and we are the dumb ones who are all happy when we get them!!!! lol And if you call and he did not notice the number that calling he can just say hey baby. or hey sweeting and so on! he starts it in the start so he is cool all the time! |

I use a generic name with people I have not seen in a long time and never really knew well because I didn't remember their name.
I'll do the same thing with a guy that says hello and I don't remember his name, I'll say "dude, how's it going.
You can read too much into these type of things. |

People who use such terms are simply too lazy to remember a name. At least that's how it strikes me. Also, it doesn't leave any room for error.
ie, mistakenly using someone else's name. Ouch! |
