HELP

Ok, here is the problem, married a military man when we were both stationed in Germany. We got married in Denmark. We did not remarry in the states. The Military did not have our records that we were married. He left me after a year and moved back with his parents. He got remarried year later and so did I...are we still married? that was back in 1991...I am now divorced and dating someone I want to marry, but someone told me that we are still legally married from 1991....I don't want to go to jail...please help....thank you...

What a strange situation...?! I would suggest that before you worry about yourself going to jail, why don't you put your ex-husband first?! ( in the jail) I mean, if that is the case in which he has gotten re-married without concerning this issue that you are having/asking here.. Yes, that certainly is the first step you must do! And of course after that you can do whatever you wish to do. Good luck!
