Has the romance and and quality time together gone since having a child / children together ?

YES...when I began to have children, my ex began to be more of a dad than a husband. I waited and waited for couple time, but it never came. Unfortunately it ended in divorce after 27 years. I could not think of going back to a loveless marriage. I held on and tried all I could bear. Then it was too late. He had an awakening he said, after a year of separation...he ran from the shower half naked and kneeled in front of me. He cried and wanted me back...I felt nothing. Too late.

we have quality time every day during meal times and since my hubby is off due to a broken ankle we share the household duties and can always make time for a hug and kiss..

the romance is harder with 2 boys sleeping our room ... they sleep in there because we have a two bedroom house and my mom has her own room so the boys have bunk beds in our room and the only romance time is the early morning hours or we wait till weekend when the kids go to their grandparents house for the weekend...

Sometimes it does. Babies need constant care 24/7. And those middle of the night feedings wears you out.

YES it certainly has. My daughter takes up all my time and I do everything for her. I also blame the fact that I have no family support, my family live over 2 hours away and my husbands parents don't really help. They have my daughter 1 day a week for a few hours, but not to help me out (i'm a stay at home mum, I don't need their help) but so they can see her, but thats it, they will not have her any other time, they will not have her over night and they will not baby sit????????? The rest of my husbands family never visit or spend time with my daughter, and only buy her presents for her birthday and christmas. I blame this lack of support as an aid to our failing relationship because we are unable to spend quality time together and go on dates etc. To make matters worse baby no.2 is on the way so I can't see things improving any time soon

With my marriage it has, however, most of the time the romance doesn't go away, but the quality time together does, it just changes. Its not about the marriage anymore, it is about the family.

Only if you allow it to. It's neccesary that BOTH of you take care of the kids and the house therefore leaving you time to spend together in the evening, it has to be a mutual effort.

It always does to a certain amount. Children take a lot of time and energy just for their basic needs.
Find time for just you and your husband by having a date night once a week by leaving the kids with a sitter and enjoy just each other.

Yes the romance and quality time has gone away since having children. Our oldest is always coming in our room, wife has lost romance drive after birth of second child, trying to fix our issues and get the spark back its a long long time since we have had romance or quality time together. Children demand a lot of our time and we are always doing stuff with the kids..hope it works out for the best soon!!
