over the last 3 years ive seen this guy on and off. the off was his choice things would be going great and then boom he just stops calling. its happened like 4 times. so anyhow, i saw him recently and he says hes sorry and i scare the hell out of him becuz he knows how perfect we are together and he thought he liked his life the way it is but being with me would change that. I told him it didnt have to change it and he says it would change becuz he would want to be with me more. is that a cop out or is he really afraid of me?

he went through a messy divorce years ago and has custody of his 2 kids.

I know where he is coming from here. Some of it is he is afraid of commitment, the other part is , if you got into a relationship, and it failed, he would end up losing you as a friend. JMO |

He has commitment issues. Whether his parents went through a really messy divorce or he just likes the variety of different girls, who knows? Either way, he is telling you that he likes you but there will be no commitment from him. Find a new guy. You are wasting your time with this one and if you stay, you will be 45 years old still "on and off" again with him as he drifts from woman to woman. |

He has you as his stand by piece, he can count on you to be there for him. Hey if you are happy with that then you two are perfect for each other.
