Ok, so I'm pretty humbled, to say the least! My 6 year old watched Planet Earth today at school and came home and asked me to find a specific part that the school had fast forwarded through. It's where a wolf chases a baby caribou and eats it. As the wolf got closer, I said "I don't really want to watch this part," and moved to get up. My daughter moved her arm out as if to stop me and said "Just cover your eyes, Mom. You don't want to see it, you'll probably cry. I know it's sad, but the predator has to eat to survive. It's just the circle of life."
I just smiled and said, "you're absolutely right. Thanks for reminding me." But wow. So really, my 6 year old is 'tougher' than I am?! That's pretty shameful on my part. Has anyone had a similar experience with your child?
