We were together nearly 3 years, broke up 6 weeks ago because we didn’t have enough time for each other while we’re both at university (both 20, he’s 1st year, i’m 2nd) and although we had a great time together and loved each other, was making us both unhappy not being able to spend time together. He decided it was best to break up on good terms and be friends than stay together and end up hating each other. I was devastated but understanding. We met up a few days ago for a meal and to see a show. We both had the most amazing time together, made each other laugh, flirted a lot, he even held my hand for a while. That was it, I’m completely in love with him again and want to be back together. I sent him an email last night telling him this as I regretted not saying it. He hasn’t replied yet, I don’t think he will. I’m completely heart broken and in love with him, i don't know what to do? Any advise?? Days before he was saying how much he loved me and even mentioned moving in with him. I guess i want to hear if we're doing the right thing or if there's a chance of a future together because i feel so terrible.

I know this might be hard to hear, but relationships end for a reason. Give yourself some time without him to think about where you are in your life and what you want. I had to get over relationships that have ended a couple of times, and the best way that I have found is to not see, speak to, or email that person at least for a couple of months. Try spending time with friends/family or getting some hobbies to help you move forward. Don't force anything to happen with you and him. Just because you love someone and they love you does not mean the relationship is right. |

Actually not is the sense you were thinking of but yesterday my husband told me to go ask my cousin's wife and my cousin (female) how to be a good wife. It really broke my heart and made tears pour out of my eyes right away. Here I have been killing myself to be a good wife and mother, my whole goal in life is to be that and I guess I got it all wrong, it just changed everything.
oh and about your situation I would guess he's found someone else. |

Yes, I have had my heart completely broken in a way much worse than that. It would depress you to hear about it.
You're both only 20. That's way too young to get tied down.
It sounds as though he knows he's not ready for a serious relationship and he wants to date other people. You should too.
You are young, have fun! Do not waste one more minute of your life mooning over this guy. You'll meet other guys. |
