Have you experienced jealousy over a spouse's ex?

My husband's ex wife has a profile on Facebook and she looks fantastic. I saw it when I was looking for information for our stepson. This is all the info we have of him (contact has been cut off for years).

My husband's ex is a former beauty queen and dancer, and has never worked. She's always found men to pay her way. Included my hubs, who still pays an atrocious amount in child support.

The ex is now going through a divorce (getting some exposure on facebook no less) and my hubs and I are separating. Since I found out she was divorced, it's been in my thoughts that these two may get back together.

I shouldn't care what he does if we separate, but it would really hurt if he got back with her. It's ridiculous to try to work things out to avoid this scenario. I'm jealous over something that may not happen.

Now that I've seen her myspace profile, and my husband saw it as well, that's all I can think about. And it is really bothering me. I've always felt I've been in her shadow for years. And come up short.

I suppose if they get back together, they can have each other. I just don't want to have to deal with it.

Get over it Susie!! The woman is a goldigging "Floozy" and I'm sure if he's with you instead of her that he has learned that everything that looks good ain't good, and he's with you because he cares about you and isn't just judging you by your looks!! Get over the pictures.....some people look totally different in person and w/o makeup!! And two men have already left her,so how perfect could she be?

What difference does it make? You're separating.. you can't control what he does & vice versa.

Don't worry too much, the issues that drove them apart are still there and it will only be a matter of time before they rear their ugly head again. They have to be there unless they both had help for them.

Probably you still very emotional attached to him, being jealous is natural, but comes when you want the guy with u or know he belongs to you, you have put up with himfor sometime and letting him go off to some ex definitely puts you off. If you have already decided not to stick around, than please dont bother yourself with wht he or shes gonna do....something gone was never meant for you.....be happy :-)

I understand your emotions, but you need to ask yourself if you're truly happy with him....obviously not if you're divorcing. There's other men in the sea, move on. Remember they fell apart once so chances are it wouldn't last a second time either....

I suggest you concentrate on YOU... think about who better you can find than him... think about how better off you would be without him. just concentrate on rebuilding YOUR life now.

If it bothers you this bad to see him with her, why are you guys even getting separated? Obviously you have pretty strong feelings for him still. Maybe you two should try to work things out!

Well, when 2 people are divorcing or separating it doesn't mean that they don't have feelings for each other anymore, of course they do it's just that they can't get along with each other and can't leave under the same roof. But the feelings still there and obviously you are going to be jealous of his ex especially when you said that she's a beauty queen or whatever and he's seen her profile. Most of the people fear that their partners are going to date right away after they've divorced or separated, i don't blame them or you. So, don't think you don't have the right to be jealous, that is going to happen, just time is going to help you heal and forget. Try going out to the mall or a library, who knows, you might meet someone.

Just remember he did marrie you. So things couldn't have been all that great with them. And so what if they get back together maybe it was meant to be.

To be honest is a complicated issue.

For one; why are you breaking up? ... yes YOU!

You obviously still have feelings for him or just really hate the other women. If you feel he is leaving to go with her ... well ouch!, he is an ***.

If you want to leave him as well, think of it this way, maybe they were meant to be? Na not really, if she gets men to pay for her things that's an issue, and she shouldn't be called a real women.
