He gives some girl money and then Im wrong!?

My husband of 2 years and I are having a little issue. About 2 weeks ago he started talking to this girl at his job. (my husband is on the field so he only goes into his actual work building a few times a week) Anyway they both have the same type phone so she sees this and tells him about some messenger thing they have for it. She asks for his info and since then they started talking. Now at FIRST I had no problem with it, since it was the periodic message and he would tell me what they talked about. Then it seemed that she started telling him all about her money problems and how she can't pay her bills this and that (he swears HE brought up the issues of money). Then they start having actual phone conversations (meaning he gave her his number without asking me if it was okay) Next thing you know hes asking me theoretical questions about giving her money if she needed to keep her electricity on and stuff, since in his words, she was doing what she needed to do to ger her finances on track (i.e getting a second job and such) so I said sure in that situation I wouldn't mind if the person was responsible. Well next thing I know two days go by and when I gave him some money when I got paid for bills and things and when he deposited it, he didn't tell me that he kept some to give to her. I find out that after he dropped me off at work, he goes and meets her someplace and gives her this money. He didn't tell what he was doing, because he claims that "I would've said no". You're damn right! He essentially decieved me by not asking me if he could give her money, not telling me before it happened, and then he thinks I shouldn'e be upset because he "told me right after". So what! He was only talking to her for about 1.5 weeks at this point and already he's captain save-a-ho! Then he has the nerve to get mad at me, saying that he always gets in trouble for telling me the truth, and when I told him that I didn't want him talking to her anymore as a result of this whole thing, he gets angry at that saying he was just trying to help, she's a good person, why don't you trust me, etc. It was the principle and her knows that! He admitted that he was wrong and then gets angry when I want him to end this "friendship" It was not even 2 weeks and already he was calling her a friend... I just don't know what to do. This isn't the first time that this has happened with a female (not giving money just talking) and I can't stand it. Why does he feel the need to talk to females and then give them his number and such? It drives me crazy!

Does your husband have a soft heart for other people or animals? She could be a con artist.
It was OK until he got sneaky. Now he needs to quit. I have a husband who has done very similar things, and we almost got divorced over his "rescuing" damsels in distress.
He knew he was over stepping some boundaries at some point. Hope U guys can work this out. She can get help elsewhere.

it seems like he is head over heels over her and also he is highly manipulative. i do not know what should u do - u should have nipped this "friendship" in the bud - before it even started. now he is so infatuated with her he will be furious at u and still will keep this woman as a secret. i would have made a scene and made an ultimatum - no more other women friends ever or else. else would be me kicking him out or leaving him with no regret. but this is just me - i am extreme

This was supposed to be for household money not "loans to strangers". He must like feeling like the "hero" to the damsel in distress. There are plenty of women out there that will take advantage of men like this. You can't tell them no, then they think your just jealous. You'll have to be patient or separate.

Communication is key. And by this, I mean actually sitting down and talking, not arguing. Being friends and talking with her is something some people wouldn't mind... but giving her money??? Absolutely no way in hell is that ok in my book. You need to tell him how you feel about this. And seeing as how they haven't known eachother long, he should be able to cut off ties with her if it makes you uncomfortable.

There are financial services and charities who can help this woman out financially. Your husband should do some reasearch and find out which local organisations would be able to help her. That would be a far more sustainable approach which would actually benefit this woman in the long term, rather than him just giving her cash. Obviously, he is the kind of personw ho is compassionate, and doesn't like to see other people struggling, but he doesn't have to be the one to help her, he could try and link her in with other services.
