I was 18, and my husband was 17. We went to Reno and his parents had to sign for him. we were married 8 yrs.and had three kids. one day he walked out and never came back. not to see the kids or anything. Now my children are 18,19,21. and they dont ever want to see him. for the bast 17 and a half years they heard nothing from. so therefore he gets nothing from them. Now my second marrige was 2005 and I was 39. and he is the best thing that ever happend. so if you aint ready, dont do it.!There will be someone special for you just give your self a chance and be patient. good luck, and God Bless

I was 20 and my husband was 23. We got married due to getting pregnant (never a good idea). Last year we filed for divorce and almost went through with it, but we got into counseling and have been married three years now. I don't know if we'll live happily ever after, but we're taking things one day at a time. |

I was 21 when i got married. And if i knew then what I know now it wasnt worth it....and I am on second marriage because i waited to get to know him.....but it doesnt matter how old( over legal age) as long as you both love each other and have lived with each other and marriage is 50-50 and make sure that both of you know that |

15, had two childern by the time i was 17. we got a divorce after 16 years. We should of gotten one 10 yrs earlier. We grew apart so fast. When you grow up every thing changes for you as a person likes are different. You grow apart. Who you were when you were 15 and who you are at 25 aare so different. It just cant work for anyone . |

I am 16 years old so I am not married. But of my life experience and the countless marriages I have seen, (I have 25 aunts and uncles and 33 first cousins) I have concluded that the longer you have known someone and nearly as important the older you are, the better a marriage/relationship will be. IMPORTANT: Also from an "insider view" -my parent's relationship- (I don't know what else to call it) you should not be rushed by the want to get married! Make sure that you are not getting married because of something like the desire of just being married or the fear of being alone (i.e. why many people will not get a divorce despite the fact that they are miserable). Make sure that you really know a person before you get married and are not "blinded" my the idea of marriage.
Note: The above about the older the better your marriage thing does not mean that younger marriages are destined to fail, it's more of a common pattern. (For those who have married younger) |
