How can I learn to be not so dependent on my husband?

I've been married for 10 years almost and I feel like I depend on my husband for everything.
I know that depending on your spouse for certain things is not a bad thing, but when it is everything then it is another story.
If some sort of situation happens at home (with the children, etc.), then I find myself immediately calling him to ask what I should do.
I feel like he knows me the best, so he'll be able to offer me the right advice. But I am sure it is annoying for him to have me calling him at work to ask what I should do about situations that I could resolve myself. He hasn't said that I am annoying him, but it would annoy me if it was the other way around.
So how do I not pick up the phone and learn to deal with situations myself? I feel sort of lost without him. How can I get over that feeling?

You don't have enough confidence in your own judgment and decision making abilities. Trust yourself to make the right call! Try an experiment...next time you find yourself wanting to call him, don't. Figure it out yourself, or go with what YOU would do. Don't worry about his opinion or approval. If everything worked out, you'll see that you can handle this stuff on your own |
