You need to contact your Dr..Every women is different. My daughter has always had a horrible time w/her period it was like she was having a baby. She's 34 and still having a bad time. My other daughter is pretty normal, does her time w/out anyone knowing. I felt my ovulating, took Midol almost everyday until I started then did my time w/ no problem. So of course when all us girls get together and speak abt periods, everyone is different. OH by the way my daughter had to take medication that was prescribed, made her time easier. |

get one of those things you fill up with hot water or even an empty soda bottle, lay on your left side with the bottle on the lower part of your stomach, drink hot tea, take a hot bath, anything warm will help the muscles in your stomach relax. |

Try to stick to a "Basic" diet; bland foods, soups, no excess sweets or spices, light tea, lots of water, aspirin or tylenol as needed and light exercise if it helps your. You might also try drinking warm liquids but I do not recommend caffeine. |

Try an over the counter product such as Midol & a heating pad. If that doesn't help, schedule an appointment with a gynecologist. |

Its natural for you to feel this way, however if its to the point where you feel like its inhibiting you from doing things, go see your gynocologist or doctor for maybe a perscription, or you can go with something like Midol. But, if you want maybe a instant sort of relief, lay on the floor in the fetal position. (by that i mean have your knees on the floor pulled up to your chest, and then have your arms outstretched above your heal with palms facing the floor) I learned that in dance class and it calmed down the cramps, and its also a bit relaxing. |

Does Pamprin work for you? If not try aleve if you can use it. Believe it or not exercize helps but is hard to get started with pain. There are some herbal teas and suplements that help and are better for you than the otc meds. |

take Midol and use a heating pad when you are laying down to rest. And drink plenty of water. And make sure you are eating a good diet |

Try Tylenol PMS or Pamprin. I also use a hot water bottle. Going out for little walks helps too. Good luck! |

I'm in the same boat...and it seems to get worse as I get older. I take naproxen (prescription), but that is starting to tear my stomach apart. I think it's midol that has some pill out that helps with bloating and cramps. Also, are you on birth control? That helps tremendously. (I don't take it now because my husband and I are trying to conceive.) |

Midol or Pamprin work ok. lay down with a pillow curled in a ball if cramps are really bad...i have had severe periods in the past and this works somewhat until the pain passes....ooo the whoes of being a woman!!!!! |

Stop eating foods high in salt and stop drinking pop a week before your period. Eat healthy foods and take a supplement with magnesium and iron.
But if you have severe cramps....like you need to stay home kind of cramps that is not healthy and is likely endometrosis. See a gynecologist if you have severe pain and if they dismiss you of complaining of nothing see another one. |
