How can you find love if you have a small child in your life?

I am asking this not because i am looking for love. i am married but am worried because i feel i am on the verge of divorce sometimes. me and my husband just can't get along like 90% of the time and i don't want my son to suffer. we disagree about everything. I do wonder though, how can i possibly find someone later if i do divorce if i want to concern all my time to my small child. he is my world and i want to make sure that the decisions i make will not hurt him. thank you for your input.

i guess the second responder did not understand what i was saying so i will reiterate, i think i am going to get a divorce because i don't want my child to suffer with me and my husband fighting all the time. i have had a lot of therapy thanks to my crazy parents, but thank you for your input.

I think you will be fine....men are a lot more understanding of a divorced woman and/or woman with child then the other way around. I have two single guy friends who are divorced w/kid and single father and both have been told numerous times it was the deal breaker...

try to make it work if possible,if thats not a option don't worry about a love life,put your child first and if you meet a man good,i got very lucky after my divorce,i couldn't take the abuse anymore and left and took my 2 boys with me,i couldn't have more children because of complications from youngest childs birth and my ex forgot he had kids i guess,he just abandoned them,anyway i was mother and father tothem,i met a wonderful man that i married and he raises my boys as his and treats us like gold,i wish you the best whatever you do,just put your child first no mattert what

It is very possible to find a good man when you have a child. However dating with a child is a bit more complicated since you need to put the health and safety of your child first.
Just be cautious and don't jump into anything.

There's a couple of book that can really help, Love Busters and His Needs; Her Needs.

Fundamentally you need to have established a deep love prior to children or its all but impossible to "weather the storm". Many many many couples struggle with this, you are far from alone.

Start with I don't want our lives to be like this, I don't want to fight any more. Someone has to break the downward spiral.

With caution and friends online dating does work. I live in Las Vegas and so many people turn to it here. As long as you only date those who live near your area and someone knows about the first few dates with new men, you can meet real good people. I was always honest and true, it paid off in the end. Why don't you deal with the marriage first and then worry about getting a man in your life. I think you may have your priorities a little whack. Your child should come first and I hope for the childs sake you don't give her an evil step parent just to have a man in your life.

I do not believe in "staying together for the child", the kids always end up suffering anyway.
I also do not believe that you should stay in a bad relationship for fear of being alone.
Perhaps try some counselling before you start making decisions.
