How did you know you were over your ex?

I thought I was over my ex we've been divorced for 3 years now. I hadn't seen him in over a year. I ran into him at the grocery store yesterday with his new lady and it stung like he$$. I stopped and talked for a minute and then I checked out and left.

it still will you guys once were in love and vowed to eachotehr to spend the rest of yourl ives together. I am sure it will affect you til you die. This is normal...but you know that you are at least over it when you wish him the best...and really do not want him to fail...once you are at this point you know you are over him. You may feel this and still feel the sting here and there throughout your liofe. Divorce is a shocking thing to go through

I knew I was over him when he punched me in the face when I was driving and it took every fiber of my being not to pull over and kick the living sh*t out of him.

That's rough, running into an ex. Just go on and live your life, and stop letting him have so much power over you. I don't really know you or your situation, but your being upset over him being with another lady may be because you have some feelings toward him that you haven't resolved yet.

i think you were just surprised to see him with another woman, thats why it hurt, but if you didnt let it get you down and was ok with it later and happy then you are over him. but dont make it a habit to try to see him because it may cause some old cuts to reopen, not good for you.
