How do I forget about my Ex?

I broke up with my partner 4 weeks ago and I just can't get him out of my head. I finished it but I tried to change my mind and he just said fu*k it were done. I went away for the weekend packed all his stuff, he came to collect it when I wasn't there and that was it.
I feel so crap right now. I do miss him but I feel he needs to do some growing up. I am always the one to go running after him every time there is a problem.

How do I get him out of my head and is he feeling the same as me. I don't want to be the first to contact him because I feel he has let this go this far. I do still love him but I just don't know how to get through this.
Should I contact him or just ride it out and get on with my life and maybe hopefully he will see sense and come back to me

u thought by breaking it off he would make some changes, but since he didn't he doesn't feel he needs to change. people always think they can change someone but they can't. he is who he is, and u are who u are. if u have already tried and he blew u off, i wouldn't contact him anymore. until u work out the problems there is no point in trying to go back to him, because things will stay the same.

the way you get over this is by occupying your time with other things...preferably things that don't have anything to do with him. this is going to be a day by day process, there will be nothing quick about it. only time will help you, but you need to stop dwelling on it and move on. good luck to you.

I don't get it. You say you broke up with him, AND that you want him to come back to you. If you wanted him with you, why did you break up with him? Here's a tip for future reference: if you want a guy to be with you, DON'T break up with him!

You are going to have to let it go. It's hard (as been there) but start doing something different such as going to new places, meeting new people or start a new hobby. That way you will be busy living your life instead of pinning away from him.

If you finished it, it may give him some time to think about what he's done and how he's behaved. You never know in a few week's time he may contact you (once he has calmed down)?

You know what it sound like a good idea that you broke up with him he sounds immature.. I know you are probally thinking of him and missing him, its only normal when you break up with someone to still think about him and think what if..
But dont contact him try to do things and keep busy like hang out with friends, go shopping, sing do anything that makes you happy and in time you will forget about him..
There will be another guy that comes along and will treat you like a princess!!
