How do I let him know I'd love him to be my boyfriend?

I have gone on a few dates with an amazing guy & we have been talking for over a month. He's 24, (I'm almost 23), and he has said he's looking for a relationship, something "significant", long-term etc (we met on a dating site, so we were both looking). I knew he was interested in me as a person because i held his attention; we talked on the phone for weeks, before even meeting up in person. Anyway, we just seem to really click & make each other laugh with our shared sense of humor. He's not the player type or just messing around. He has talked about meeting my parents & doing things in the future (such as "we should go hiking again this summer") etc. Next weekend, I'm going to meet his mom & sister (his idea). When we went hiking the other day he couldn't wait for me to put pics up on my Facebook lol. We talk on the phone almost every night, usually for quite a while. So I think those are probably all good signs.. When & how should I bring up our status? some of my friends say I should wait til after we hang out another time or two. Others say I should casually bring it up, not make a big deal of it, when we talk next on the phone. How would you feel about something like this? What should I say to him? He may be waiting for me to make the next move. Any tips, insight is appreciated.. I haven't had a ton of dating experience, but want to make sure this one doesn't get away. And I'm just really wanting to claim him as my own & show the world he's my man lol. Lastly, I do feel like I truly know him well, i could basically tell you his life story lol.. We can basically talk about anything & I feel comfortable with him..We have hugged & kissed on the 3rd date so we connected in that sense, too.. thx for advice!!
ps - Put this in this section looking for some mature, experienced advice..something the singles section usually lacks.

I think you should wait a little while. Like, maybe a few months. If you are still together by then, you can bring up the issue of status.
<-----this section is utterly immature (primarily me). I'd hate to see singles & dating! |
