How do I tel my husband I want a divorce?

I left him 2 yrs ago because he was NEVER home, never gave his paycheck to pay for bills, stayed out all night and drunk He is not my sons; bio father, but has been there since pregnancy. He is rude and mean to him. He has gotten a good job (probably because his parents bought a gas station), and is contibuting to the house. He tels me he loves me all the time, but his lack of respect over the past 13 years proves different. I guess I should have stayed gone last time, but I thought I'd give him a second (3rd, 4th) chance. I just lost my respect for him and I don't love him like I should love someone I'm married to. Its time to move on. How do I tell him?

"He is rude and mean to him" ????!!!!! I wouldn't allow anyone to be rude and mean to my kids.
I just hope you don't end up losing your self respect. Leave him. |

Be honest. Let him know how you truly feel. If someone told me they no longer respect or love me like they should then I would not want to be in that relationship anyway. Make sure it is really what you want. Do you think any kind of counseling could help the two of you? I would explore all options before ending it. Good luck |

Since he has done you wrong so many times you can either send him the papers and he can figure it out for himself or you can just flat out an tell him its over.You deserve better and you need to do what is best for your family. |

Tell him pretty much what you have said here .
I don't love you . You are rude and mean to my son . You were never there for us . Instead of helping with the bills he chose to go out and drink your paycheck away . And that because of all of this you have lost all respect for him
Then tell him that you have decided to file for a divorce and move on with your life . And suggest that he do the same .
With all that you have described , he can't possibly love you . When you truly love someone you do not treat them or their child(ren) this way .

hold on, when you say you left him two years ago, and then go on to talk about how he tells you he loves you all the time, did you not actually leave?
cause if you did actually leave, permanently, you could just tell him flat out, or just mail the divorce papers. however, if you didn't actually leave, then you should sit him down and explain in detail, why it is not working for you.

..i know..some men don't stay home..and they are rude to their wives etc..because so are some men..they think they are men and they have the right to be so..who knows..as for drinking..i think that the wife should stay closer to him..on the sofa..and talk to him and draw his atention toward smth nice nad good belief in God and faith..and things about family..and caress him..and maybe so he will stay home..talking nice to him..even if he is rude..they must be atracted to a wife who speaks nice , musn;t they? |
