How do stay at home moms get by when husbands are deployed?

I have one daughter and I am a full time student, I do not mind working or getting a job what so ever. My husband and I currently are living apart but are planning to move in together with the next few months, it is a really strong possibility that he may get deployed next year and I wondered how some women get by financially and just emotionally. Any suggestions so I can be much more prepared would be appreciated.

My husband is actually deployed right now!! I get by because we have a very strong marriage!! I also am very involved in a great church that supports me emotionally!!! We have four kids I'm staying home with right now ( 7,4,2,10months) It's really a hard battle. You have to rely on family to help! Financially speaking he will make great money while he's gone. If he is supporting you talk to him about keeping his debit card while he is gone and a check book! |

Even deployed he will still get paid. Most men are still able to contribute financially when out on deployment. If you feel like his contributions won't be enough, maybe a part time job would help? |
