I've been married for more than 10 years, 2 kids. In the last 2 years, i noticed that my wife easily gets mad at me, nagging me always for small things, she doesnt care anymore about my emotions, shouting at me always. Now Im thinking that our relationship is already getting at its worst condition, I am now working abroad and she stays home with the kids. Please, I need your advise.

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but maybe you aren't spending enough time together. I read somewhere that the majority of married couples talk for less than 11 minutes per day. If you sit down and talk with her one on one, just tell her what she does that upsets you (don't raise your voice) and ask her what you do that upsets her. You are probably both setting each other off. I also read somewhere that when you are arguing with your partner you should remain in contact with them physically, so put your arm around her, hand on her leg, hold hands, or something because it will make you feel more connected. If none of this helps, I would suggest couples therapy. It seems like a crazy thing to some people, but I know someone who was being physically and emotionally abused by her husband to the extent that she wasn't allowed out of the house aside from work or being with him. After couples therapy, they now have a child and have never been happier. They both have one life together but can enjoy spending time apart with their own friends. Therapists and psychiatrists are very perceptive and have a great way of bringing out emotions and feelings that you ddin't know existed. This is a great alternative to divorce or at least should be attempted before deciding divorce is the only option. |

When she shouts and nags at you, you can calmly ask why you are always shouting and nagging me.
One thing I have always done is calmly say "how would you like me to treat you? Would you like me to shout and nag? "
I am a firm believer that I am the boss of me and only me. So if my wife gets bossy, I tell her "would you like me to boss you around?"
