It differs for everyone, I think at least a year is wise. Anyone in a rebound marriage is not likely to have success because emotionally one has to be totally healed from one situation to enter another one thats going to be healthy. Good luck |

I waited a day, just to make sure the paperwork got filed. Question is how long has the divorce taken and how long have you been with your new love? Make sure that this is what you want, or you'll be asking the same question again in a couple years |

its not about being politically correct. its just about being honest with yourself. if you already have someone as you are getting divorced , i truly hope you are not putting all of the blame on your spouse. if you are divorcing and just met someone , you must realize this is just a rebound thing and it may or may not work out well at all. i would lean to not working out at all in that case. even though i went through a pretty rough and drawn out divorce , i didnt even think of dating during or even a couplpe of months after the divorce was final. not that i didnt have the offers , just that i recognized that my heart (rightfully so ) wasnt ready for another relationship. its common to jump into a relationship after a divorce maybe for the wanting of acceptance or affection , or maybe just to fill a void that the now missing spouse has left. there is no "correct" time period. just whenever you are ready. now days , politically correct is sooo overated anyways , why worry about what others may think and do for you. its your life , your happiness , and totally at your discretion of when you begin dating or get remarried.
