So I finally went on a date with this girl that I like on Saturday and everything went well. We talked all the time about random stuff but not about our feelings since I don' want to scare her off and make her think that I am trying to rush her into a relationship. she drove herself to the restaurant which i think is ok since it is our first date right? I can't really tell if she is interested in me or not, we still txt each other like we used too so i know that she is still interested in talking to me. How long should I have to wait before I ask her out on a second date? Would asking her out to lunch be wrong since we just went Saturday? I just don't want to miss out and give her the impression that I am not interested. For women that read this question, what are some hints or signs that you would give that you would be interested and also would not be interested in someone?

IMHO, you're going to worry this situation into the toilet.
I looked for confidence in the men I dated! Someone with that attribute comes across as a person who knows what he/she wants and will display determination to get exactly that - what they want! AND, it can be displayed without the macho man mentality.
I also looked for someone thoughtful and considerate; someone who shared the same interests as well as diversified interests so I could learn from him.
Though I appreciate your thoughtfulness in not wanting to 'scare' her off, you both have decision making faculties, ergo, it's within her realm to let you know if you're coming on too strong.
With all the hesitation you've displayed in your posts, I think you're setting yourself up to fail. Exude some confidence - that along with your thoughtful and considerate nature, I'm sure will score points.
What do you have to lose? Sitting back questioning your every move may very well leave you just sitting there - all by yourself!. |

I really don't think there's a specific amount of time you should have to wait to ask her out on a second date. The surest way to know that she's still interested is to go ahead and ask her and see what she says. I think lunch is a really good idea. Maybe she's waiting to see if you're still interested in going on another date with her. |
