I have already won sole custody of my daughter and I will be legally separated a year on august 3rd. we are not splitting anything up so how much longer am i looking at. please give me a good answer so i dont have to wonder anymore this has been hell

If you haven't filed then you've got a wait. One of you has to file for divorce, and depending on where you live it usually takes 90 days from the time you file to when the divorce is final. |

It all depends on your state and its laws. My daughter thought she would be divorced in 6 months in Virginia after living separately. She got fooled. They have now been living apart for 14 months and still are not legally divorced. She had to have a legal separation (which we did get him to sign), but that was all we could find him for to get him to sign. He just drops out of sight. Her paperwork is getting ready to go back to the judge this week. Her ex was supposed to have shown up in court April 3 to "protect his rights." We don't know if he showed up or not.
So the answer to your question: get a lawyer and find out. No one else can give you an answer. |

well first file, after that if it is a non contested divorce i would say about 90 days or so. If it is contested it all depends on the state you you are filing in. Some have a 1 year waiting period and then it will begin and some have a two year waiting period in till it begins.
