My answer: Two.
My daughter's father whom I was in a 4 year relationship with and my husband. I have never said "I love you" to any other man. I've had other men tell me they loved me, but I didn't say it back. I was even in a near one year relationship with a guy and I never said it to him either.
My husband has thrown that word around flippantly to woman he's dated and it's rather irked me. But I know he truly loves me. |

I have been thinking about this a lot lately and though I have said it, I think that it was more of a reply, than really meaning it. So, I stopped it saying "I love, you, too" as a reply a few years ago and the next time I tell a man that I love him I will really, unequivocally mean it and until then silence. |
