I would think about 85%. The other 15% are either newly married or too old to care. Marriage is a lot of work, you need to work on it every day. Both individuals need to give 100% and you will find that does not happen. When you are married for a period of time things change, people change and your marriage changes. You become comfortable with the other person and don't work as hard on the things that use to matter. You take each other for granted and sometimes resent the other person for taking you for granted. Communication between the two of you breaks down. Many other factors like children, work and
responsibilities take over. Your marriage does not take 1st place anymore, nor does your spouse. It is such a shame we can't keep the love fire going throughout the marriage, but that's life. Sorry to say, many people just put on a phony front to make others think everything is great, when it is not. |
