How should I handle this situation?

A week ago i decided to ask this good friend of mine out for dinner and her response was yes that she would like that. We didn't go out this weekend because she had her daughters 1st communion and was really busy (which by the way, i bought her daughter this nice gift) so we decided to plan for it this weekend. I haven't said anything about it yet and neither has she and I don't want her to think that i don't want to go out with her anymore but I am planning on seeing her tomorrow since she will be working and I will be at her job and plan to confirm there. If she is still interested should i tell her how i feel about her on our date or just hand out and not say anything. I don't want to miss out either but don't want to come on to strong either and scare her away. i really like this girl and she makes me feel really (happy) when we talk that i can see myself in a relationship with her. Any advise would help....

Act, listen and be quiet is a rule of thumb on your first date. You need to know more about this girl before you come to the conclusion that "she is it". There is more to a relationship than just lust and liking a person. Go slowly, establish a good conversation where you can both share your opinions and get to know each other more. Things will emerge all by themselves without you jumping the gun before hand.

NO! Don't tell her how you feel. Its tooooo soon. First date? You don't want to scare her away. You asked her out for dinner, that is pretty much telling her you think quite a bit of her and you might like her romantically. Just show her by actions. Don't confess everything yet. I just think its too much too soon. She needs to absorb this, and deal with her own emotions. She has a young daughter, so it sounds like she has not been out of a relationship for a long time, which tells me she might be guarded. Be prepared for that, as it just might take time for her to open up her heart. Since you started out as great friends, it sounds like a really great start. Maybe second or third date, if she takes you up on it, you can share more of your feelings.

Tell her just the way you say here that you like her and want to share a few hours with her. Make plans for this Saturday to go for a lunch time date to a Zoo or a picnic in the park. Ask her if she is free and tell her you are looking forward to seeing her this weekend.

If you see her tomorrow say hi. I would respect her privacy in the workplace and not discuss personal business. If you have her phone number call her on the phone to make plans, if not exchange numbers when you see her. It's great that you like her, but don't scare her away spilling all of your emotions on the first date. See how it goes and you will know by how she reacts if it is a mutual feeling. Take your time. It was very thoughtful of you to give her daughter a gift.
