My boyfriend broke up with me about a month ago and he is honestly just being stupid. He runs away instead of talking things through with me. He says I'm being his mom and can't be in his life basically. He is dropping out of school and moving to california and I asked him what was he doing? Also, some of his friends are bad influences so I was getting on to him a bit for that too. I mean like they are dropping out of school too and partying a lot a lot. I come from a bad childhood too so some things are I'm sensitive too.
Anyway, he wont talk to me at all...saying he can't talk to me. He storms out of work (we work together). He wont talk to me at all, at all! He has told some of his friends that I hurt him so much and I'm mean to him at work because I'm ignoring him (he told me to not talk to him). It's just all so silly. I think he is kind of being a baby about things too. I have really tried hard to be super nice to him. i say hi at work but he just hardly acknowledges me.
I really don't know how to handle this. I'm a pretty strong girl and I'm a few years older than him (we are both in our early 20s) so I know our maturity levels are different.
Anyone had any experiences with this? He is crazy about me and told someone he cant eat or sleep and all he does is think about me. I don't know. If i say one word to him he freaks out. I have to ignore him completely...I can't contact him. I guess I just need to get out of his life completley?

EDIT- I don't understand his logic either. He broke up with me because I couldn't be in his life? Basically I guess I'm holding him back?

Wow, I have never heard of a guy that sensitive, I have seen many though. Right now you have to let him handle things on his own, you trying to help will only make him distance himself more. Gave him his space even though you really really want and need to help him. Sometimes you just gotta let them be free for a while. Later he will think things through and feel bad and realizes that he did something wrong and will return to you. Otherwise if he don't and you have already apologize and did all you could, move on. People like this never really think things through though and always think that they are right, you hurt them a bit and they will think that you're the guilty one and will never return to you because you hurt them. They think that you are heartless, evil, cruel, ect, they think that you're the most evil person on earth and you have commited a crime against them by hurting them and they will never return to you. That's how they think. If he won't return to you, I think you should move on, I really think it's hard to be with someone like this. They have to learn how to be more stronger and learn how to handle their sensitivity otherwise it will be very hard for them and for the people that loves them. |
