My wife is still hurt for what I did to her a year ago and since then has asked me to leave her alone and give her her space. My questions is... how can I do that when we live together, have 2 kids together, am the driver, am the one that cleans, pays the bills and cooks... HOW? I really want her to be happy again but I seem to keep on messing it up.. what am I doing wrong?

Back in Jan 08 I was confussed and made a stupid decision to leave her.. told her the worst thing you can every tell anyone.. a month later I totatlly regreted it and since then have been trying to ask for forgiveness...
She's told me she forgives me, but it's hard for forget.. This year, a week before V-Day she started to wear her wedding ring and said am now on probation..lol.. which means it's a step closer, but still no touching

u need to sit down and ask her what u could do to make things right. depends how deeply u hurt her. try some christian counseling. |

You left her and told her by your words the worst things you could tell a person.
From one day to another she believed she had stability and you took it away and now you want credit because you realized you were wrong but she should just go one and let it go. SELFISH!!!
You cant think that she can forget in one day, two, three. You took away the very foundation that she felt with you.
You even have the nerve to say a guy has needs and you dont want to do something stupid like cheating but well if she doesnt go to bed with you that you wont have a choice. Even now your being selfish....shame on you!

Your wife has total control of you! You do everything and she isn't nice or intimate with you. A stint in eternal hell would be a step up from your situation. Whats truly pathetic with all due respect is you continue to beat yourself up and feel inadequate when she is the one you need to do without, even if it means driving to a new place with the kids when you drive and filing for divorce and custody. A year is time to heal and if she hasn't then that is what she should have done a year ago. It's horrible to model non-loving and non-intimate behavior in front of the kids. They will grow up and think dysfunction and non-caring is part of a normal married relationship. Sometimes you just can't fix everything! If you think you can then both of you need to quit playing games and having a pity party and focus your time on nurturing, loving, and respecting what you have. I will pray for your success! |
