How to tell Wife to Workout?

The reason you can motivate others at the gym (even the ugly ones) is because they want to be there. You are paid to work with them (even the ugly ones)... sorry, I just can't get over that.

Your wife has to want to go before she does. If she is 135 and 5'9", she is not fat. You should love your wife for the beautiful person that she is. If she gains a few pound, ask if she wants to go for a walk with you. Don't assume she will have the same drive as you do to work out at the gym. Also, taking care of the kids while she is cleaning doesn't give you a great husband award.

maybe your wife feels comfortable with the way she looks. if it bothers you this bad try the whole communication thing and sit down and talk to her in a way that you dont make her fell unattractive or bad about herself be constructive... in any relationship people should be able to feel comfortable around each other

Ask her what's wrong. Tell her about how great she used to look and that you are wondering why someone who USED to care about their looks, no longer give a crap.

When a woman gains weight, that shows a lack of respect not only for herself, but a lack of respect for you.

Don't be a punk. Tell her how you feel, be blunt. It's hard but better in the long run.

She must feel comfortable with herself, which is amazing, all women should be. If it is at the point where it is unhealthy, then that is bad, but if you REALLY feel the need to tell your wife she has to get a better body (not saying that in a bad way) then suggest working out together, or doing a sporty activity

Compliment her on how good she looks then say you believe she would look even better if she worked out just a little. Be careful and take baby steps and you might get her to try. Good luck.

i think you have bigger issues than this....but i will stick to the topic buy her a gym member ship hound her to go....dont say anything degrading or insulting though....if she asks why youre pushing her to go to the gym just say something like "i want to spend time with you at the gym" or "i want to get more active with you"

First of all, I don't know how skinny she was when you met, but 135 for 5'9 is not heavy at all. But if you think your girl needs to lose weight do not tell her she is fat and understand that the people you motivate at the gym chose to go there themselves and are looking for your motivation but your wife is not. I would put aside some time in the afternoon when you are both available and try to include her in some exercise. Tell her you are going for a jog and invite her along or something like that.

rpid raging R we, well you hit a nerve with me, my husband is a body builder and he could careless what I weight he wa sjelous when I had a tummy tuck done, but my point is, she is not fat maybe if she balloons to 200 pds. then I would become concerned, but my God man, you have a eating problem and why project this onto her, I am so tired of my roid raging husband (He takes roids by the way) going on a diet and then never eating, and then gorging on fast food and sayin all bodybuilders do this and then trying to tell my daughter she has to loose some pounds.
