For a woman that doesnt have custody of her child, but thinks she should.....I wonder what it feels like for her to hear her own child tell her that he/she doesnt want to live with her. How big of a kick in the teeth is that to a woman's/mom's ego?
My "x' basically gave up her child for a new man. She always thought that the child was automatically going with her......

Yea that is a kick in the teeth as you say.But then again I believe what goes around comes around and she's getting what she deserved.No woman should ever abandon her child for a man. |

Admittedly, it would hurt me deeply.. but I also must say that fathers, good fathers, have had to deal with this same scenario over and over again.. it's really sad when someone makes choices that cause their children to not want to be with them.. but then again, perhaps it shows how very much your child loves you and wants to be with you more than it's a reflection on her. |

Having my child say that to me would absolutely kill me. My oldest son (almost 16) is now living with his dad because he's participating in a specialized program at school and his Dad lives closer (it's an hour commute from my home) and even though it's all friendly and amicable between my ex and myself, it still feels like someone carved out a chunk of my heart when he moved. I've spent a lot of time crying behind closed doors since September. To do what your ex did and voluntarily give up raising her own child is unfathomable to me. |
