I consider it a loving union between two people who are madly in love with each other and would do anything for the one they love. Be it man-woman or gay marriage. And besides if laws were passed to allow a civil union for gay people then a "marriage" would not be necessary. They just want equal treatment for legal purposes.

Well you have to take into account legally marriage is anything that you concider to have significant value in your life. There are people who marry themselves or inanimate objects. When you hold yourself out to the public as being a couple for a certain amount of time you have a commonwealth marriage. Marriage is generally known as a union that benefits both party's. For example when you marry someone usually you get tax breaks,options to have families, intimate times, combined income,or other options you may not have had otherwise. I define it as anything that works for you just be carefully when you join two lives trouble is in the mix.

I define a marriage as two people with unconditional love for each other, they are best friends and no one can come between them. Marriage is when two people feel so comfortable around each other that it doesn't matter what the problem is, the other is there to talk about it or just to be supportive. Til death do they part!
