My husband has been deployed for about 8 months now, he's returning home very soon and I'm sooo excited! Any suggestions of something special to do for him??? I really want to show him how much I love and appreciate him...

This is what I did for my hubby when he got home. I took him straight home and had the house decorated and I had the table filled with all his favorite treats that he missed in Iraq and I had a card with a sweet message written inside. Then we went straight upstairs and you know :). That night I had a reservation made at his favorite restaurant and I took him there and I was the designated driver for him lol. Over the next few days I had reservations at all of his favorite places and I would surprise him every day. He loved it. They miss a lot when they are over there. Hope this gives you some ideas. |

He has been through a lot and I am sure you have been informed by the service of what to expect as far as changes in him, and his possible mental state. A trip away from everything just the 2 of you so he can unwind and relax. When you are alone just be there for him and let him tell you what will make this time more enjoyable. Also a lot of this depends on what he did there and what effects it had on him. I am very proud of all those who served and he deserves nothing but the best.
