Hello there:
This is a complicated situation and I really don't know what to do. I need some advice and I'm going to explain the story as simply as possible
- I'm married and have one child, I've been married for 5 years now
- I've been having problems with my husband and now he is leaving, literally he is packing all the stuff and going somewhere.
- We are not talking and have not talked for a a while now.
- We rent and he pays the rent, but I received on the mail a notice from the landlord saying that they received the notice of vacancy and they sent their instructions on how to clean the apartment, etc.
- There is 2 more months in the lease and after that I don't know what is going to happen, I know there is no point in tying to talk to him cause that is impossible.
- He did leave once before years ago and left with my baby. He literally escaped and there was nowhere to be found not even by his family. I know he may do the same now but this time I want to act legally, We depend economically from him and if he leaves I will be left on the street, nowhere to go, no school for my child.
The real question is if you can give any legal advice, or if you know of any protecting laws in these cases, or if you know any websites where I can find more legal advice, ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated.

Get yourself and your child to a woman's shelter NOW. Although you didn't mention if he was abusive, you still need a roof over your head and you need to protect your son from being kidnapped again.
Call the police and ask for a referral to a shelter. Good luck. You'll be in my prayers. |

well he is legally responsible for the child, if its his... i assume it is...
and he cant just up and leave
you may also be entitle to alimony.
but im going to say that you are should go find a job. |

must love him, but unfortunatly things like
this happen.
I know it might seem painful,
but again you have to be strong.
get a job, if you dont already have one.
find a friend for you and your son
to stay with, untill you get back on your feet.

It would be greatly advisable to get yourself in for some counseling. That is not saying there is something wrong with you, but professional help would be more of an assistance to you than answers from here.
As one poster pointed out, your nearest woman's shelter is a good place to start as they carry tons of information as well as legal contacts. Explain your situation...and go from there.
