Husbands and Wives, who does the majority of cooking in your house?

I do most of the cooking but my husband's a better cook when he cooks. Sometimes we would both go out for dinner after work so nobody has to do any cooking.

I would say I do a little more than my husband does, but we try to split it up a bit. He usually takes care of dinner on monday and wednesdays, and I do tuesday and thursdays...on the weekends we just figure it out right before....

it's sweet that you are willing to help...I do most of the cooking and if my husband offers to help I tell him no thanks...but there are times he just starts it and does it all on the weekends and I love it...

My wife is clueless in the Kitchen. I do the cooking, she does the dishes. Our entire relationship works that way. She does the laundry, I fold it. I watch football on Sundays, she watches HDTV on Saturdays. etc. etc.

My husband actually does the majority of the cooking. I am a good cook but he likes to do it and is pretty good at it so hey...........I am trying to get him to like doing laundry now????? Any suggestions on how I can make that little machine in the room downstairs more attractive to him????

My wife does most of the cooking. But, I make pies usually. I also make homemade soups, cuz my soups are great. I can and do cook often. I actually am a better cook than most women.

why don't you just do it like once or twice a week? I do all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, childcare, lawncare as well, and yes I am married and work too... hmmmm...

I do the majority of the cooking, but hubby does it often enough to suit me... he's even a better cook than me when it comes to homemade biscuits, chicken & dumplings... & the most tender T-bone steaks I've ever had.

My husband does. He gets home at 3pm, so I don't get a chance to cook a meal before his arrival. It makes me feel like a bad wife sometimes. But I help too, if he wants.

I do all the cooking in my house. I cook for my son and my hubby in the morning,,,,,leave his until he wakes up....he works second shift....then when i come home hes in work and my son is home from school,,,so i cook again,,put hubbys aside until he comes home from work,,,,,and then lucky me gets to do it all over again and again everyday. .....gets pretty boring....wish someone else would do it once in awhile....but i m not gonna hold my breath.

Husbands always say that they will help but the fact of it is, they get in the way on purpose. It is easier for me to cook, clean, laundry, pay all bills, take kids to school and work 6 days a week!

I do the majority of the cooking but to be honest I love to cook so it doesn't bother me. Once in a while my husband cooks a meal just for me ;o) ..

My husband cooks when I work nights, which is 3 nights a week, so I guess we split......now if I could only get him to do the laundry!!!

I do the majority of the cooking. He can do small things like eggs, hamburgers, mac and cheese, hamburger helper, and anything that can be baked (frozen pizza, wings),or anything that can be microwaved. Other than that he could burn water with out even trying. He knows it too. He just isn't the cooking type and he loves me cooking for him. I love to cook so it all works out. He like you also helps out when he can. I am trying to teach him

I remember one time I made a batch of pancake batter. I gave him step by step instructions... I even showed him how to make one before I left for work. LOL... he still called me and said that he was going to pick something up. He had managed to use up all the pancake batter. Which on average with the pancake batter I can make about 20 to 25 medium sized pancakes!

we seldom eat at home cause we have our own food business so if we eat from home then i'll handle all the cooking

I do all the cooking, except when my 12 yo daughter decides to cook an egg for breakfast or my 8 yo son makes brownies.

We've been married 14 yrs and yes even with kids having soccer practice or what ever as a damn good cook and husband i cook 7 thats rite 7 days a week and i love it!!!

I, as the wife, do almost all of the cooking. I enjoy cooking though, and my husband always does the dishes afterwards. I feel that it is a good arrangement.

I do the biggest part of the cooking in our home but my boyfriend will help if I ask him to...he actually asks me if there is anything he can do to help me out. And he always does the dishes. It's a good way to do things. I cook and he does the dishes. I hate doing dishes and I love to cook. I have the sweetest man in the world!

My wife does the cooking, although i can fry eggs and bacon and make toast.
When she was in the hospital for 2 weeks last year, i had a place, name of King's Restaurant, do my meals!
I told her, if she dies first, her electric stove is going out on the curb next day after the funeral! Thankfully, i have a gas stove in our motor home that i can use next time!
