My best friends partner is 10 years older than her,
She has been dating him for 2 years,
She just found an email from his "ex" wife (The first time she has ever gone into his emails)
And she wrote a letter to his "ex" asking her why she is trying to contact him and she wrote back
"im so sorry to intrude into your relationship or your lives, i just was trying to find out whether he has filled the annulment papers, i want to get on with my life aswell i wish you too all the best good luck and god bless" etc. really nice stuff anyway she lives in a totally different country.
So she has been dating him for 2 years thinking he was divorced and hes still married what advise can you give her what should she do next? he's more likely to get on the defensive side and not apologize for lying and say that's none of your business. Is it her business does she have the right to know?

He is not with his wife anymore they BROKE UP before Jess even met him.
I am asking whether it is fair to lye to someone you have dated and lived with for two years about the fact that legally you are still married?

A divorce is different than an annulment. You need to legally divorce so that you can marry again. An annulment is more of a religious issue. Stupid in my opinion, but there are people who feel that it is really important. Just because his marriage hasn't been annulled doesn't mean he is still married. She needs to ask him. |

You should pray about this one first off it dose seem like he is running game on both of you and you are his wife that is not right and very unfair to you if you are anything like me marriage vows mean alot to me I left my first wife and I really loved her did anything for her she cheated on me because she stated that I worked too much and then when I was finally gone she tried to beg me back when she saw the guy she was with was full of game and that was not fair to me he should have never been in our life any way she has no right to know nothing you need to talk to him about how you feel and he is the type to blow up and go off you should have been violence and crazy behavior is untoleratable I wish you the best pray God got your back Richard H. |

I do not have to read anymore, or even read it.
I have answered too many questions like this in the past, and my answer stays the same, quit this relationship and find someone new.
Oh, and another thing, he will never, ever, leave his wife.
Even after 2 years and all the promises.
Please wake up, and join the "others" who have realized that affairs are no good, they just break your heart, not the one who is married heart, but yours, and your life will be going no where, so please, wake up and leave him.
It is your choice, if you want to waste your life away, then continue with false hopes and lies, from him, and false promises from him, or see the light and stop this relationship. |
