Honey...what makes you think he won't do the same thing to you? I'm sorry to be so negative, I wish it would work for you. But situations like that USUALLY don't. Do you know the details of why they're getting divorced? Has he been unfaithful before? I think you should really look at why he kept it from you that it wasn't final.... good luck!

If he's just in the "middle" of a divorce then you've got another year to wait. Ask him why it's taking so long, and are they living together or apart? Chances are you're being played...you might want to distance yourself from this until he's actually a single man again.

If you've been dating him a year and he never told you that he was in the middle of a divorce, then he probably isn't or he would have had nothing to hide. Do you really want to be in a relationship with someone that, at the very least, has been lying or hiding something from you and, at the worst, is still lying to you AND cheating on his wife? Hmmmm, he's been lying to you for over a year. That's great. In another year do you think he'll be done w/ his divorce? Noooooope.

I've read about it a ton of times, the woman waits forever for the man but he is too "dedicated" to the first woman because she "took care of the family" etc. Even though you fill a need for him, too.

I wouldn't hold my breath for him, too many other hotties out there with no attachments!

leave him alone. Why would you want to be with someone who cheats? Just like he got unhappy with her and cheated with you he will do the same when he is no longer happy with you. you need to leave him and never look back. a guy that can cheat on his wife and do it for a year without feeling bad and promise you things will always be a liar. Leave and don't fall pregnant by this guy. Find a nice guy that will be true to you and love you fully. good luck!

Some men get really comfortable at home with the wife who cleans, cooks, takes care of the kids etc... some don't want to loose that though they look for something new outside because they are bored...

I met a guy who was looking to get out of a 6 yr relationship, but claims it would take him another year. If he is't married and not legally bound to her but not happy seems to me he would leave. Unless the guy can't make it on his own. The women who believe these guys when they're told that stuff are not always to blame. Your only frame of reference is what he tells you. Most of us don't have any first hand knowledge. My best advice is when even the simplest thing sounds or feels not so right, get away from it. He's lying.
