I am hopelessly in love w/ a bad boy-do I listen to my head or my heart?

I have literally known him and been on and off for almost 10 years. We are polar opposites, I am college educated and responsible, work full time and play by all the rules. I am not white trash and come from a good family. I don't know why, but every time him and I break up I say 'never again' b/c he makes me insane sometimes, yet there is like this force that always pulls me back to him. He's really not a bad, bad guy, he treats me like a queen when we are together, and showers me w/ love and affection. He changed his playboy ways for me early on and stopped seeing other girls and was faithful to me. At the moment he is in jail, but is getting out on Saturday after a 3 month stint for a probation violation. He is going to be free and clear and off of probation and is swearing that this is a fresh start for him and I. I have tried dating other guys too and they just don't do anything for me, they bore me to tears, and all I can think of is him. I really think he is my soulmate

he is not a stupid person, he doesn't have a college degree, but he is naturally smart, he speaks very well and knows a lot of things. He went to technical school and did excellent grades wise, so he's not a total loser-he just seems to make really bad choices.

The real issue with many women in this situation is that women want to be controlled but many women, especially those who are career-minded, do not want to give up the control. Therefore, they marry men who are weak but very nice and treat them wonderfully. But at the same time, they desire to be controlled and it's the bad guys who provide this.

To fix this, you know very well that this guy is not good for you. But when you search for a man, you need to find one that is very nice but not weak and you have to give away part of your control.

You already know what you are going to do. Strangers aren't going to change your mind. The only way to learn something is to find out for yourself.
Do me a favor though, after is all over, write a novel so I can read all the drama!

no no. he's a loser. if you are an adult and go to jail, you are a piece of sh*t. but don't worry, lots of girls love losers, just read half of these questions on here....

Love my kittys
I think you should ask yourself if anything he does could cause you to go to jail, lose everything, or anything you have worked for. Will he love you, stand by your side, make decent choices? Or is he fooling you because he wants to have someone with him when he gets out?

Finally a woman who speaks the truth..she WANTS a bad boy. Now we can wait for your complaints next month when he is a badboy and does or doesn't do something for you or to you.

And you women wonder why men don't think you all should be allowed to vote or own property?? WTF?

No offence but if he was really smart, he wouldn't have gotten in trouble with the law in the first place. It's up to you if you choose to stay with him or not. If it were me, no way!

Ok, listen. I only had to read to the part when you said "every time we break up". So how many times does it have to not work out before you realize that it is time to move on? Let it go already.

It's not really about good or bad, it's about alpha characteristics and masculinity. The bad boys have it and the good boys just don't seem to and so they don't turn you on. A good boy that you can wrap around your finger and make jump to your every command. What the heck fun is that?

What you need to do is find yourself a good boy who understands the game and can play the part without actually being bad and tearing your life up, or perhaps a good boy with rough edges. like a fighter pilot or something.

Either way, nothing is free in this world and if you want to play with the bad boys you have to be willing to pay the price.

So, what's your hunger. Are we talking Johnny Depp style bad boy or big beefy butt kicking bad boy? LOL

some things to consider. say you do get married
1) are you ready to bail him out of jail?
2) are you ready to tell your kids that their dad is doing time for something?
3) he will eventually pull you in
4) apposites attack and you are attracted to him because he probably makes you feel like a bad girl you always wanted to be but because you have a brain decided that a normal life is better. the marriage will inevitably fail because you will need him to be a responsible father and husband and he is not likely to chance.
good luck though.

added: not all alpha guys are bad boys. trust me it takes a good amount of alpha to command a team of employees, or make decisions for multi billion dollar companies. are all managers, company presidents, lawyers etc bad boys? i think many criminals are cowards actually. there is nothing manly about rape, robbery or murder. its cowardly!

You've already told yourself that you're "hopelessly" in love with this person......but apparently your definition of love does not include respect.

That's too bad.

You can only find what you look for. STOP LOOKING.

Do you want drama in your life forever!? Follow your head and get far, far away from this guy. He's bad news! If he's a poor decision maker, don't you think his bad decisions with impact you at some point? Of course they will! Move on and you'll find the right guy.

Follow your heart... that's all I have to say. Your mind makes you do stupid things sometimes..

Cisco_guy
Why do you ask others to decide for what you've already chosen? Do u want others to tell you that wrong is good? would u feel better? go ahead, fool yourself, you don't love "bad guys" you love loosers and you're a looser too.

You can try him out and see what happens. I mean, not all people in his situation make it nowhere. I would keep him, but definitely keep an eye on if he is doing better. If he starts screwing up, then he may have some serious issues he needs to work on.

Good Luck.

Sweetheart.I would go with my heart.I am in the same predicament that you are in.He's a bad boy too.Into the streets and all of that. And I love him to death, like crazy. But go with your heart.Help him to get on his feet since he's just getting out.My significant other is still locked up.Since December of 05.Long time huh.:) He's talented,warm-hearted,honest,has a beautiful sense of humor, and treats me like the queen that I am.Never disrespected me a day in my life. But again,go with your heart.
