I broke my Promise to Allah?

I made a promise to Allah that I will not do such a thing, and told Allah that this is the promise to him, and I told him, that he should take my responsibility, (Does this means Allah actually tool my responsibility) and that he has promised me
However I felt so guilty when I broke my promise, and this is comming to my mind, that that wasn't a promise Allah has made, because he has told in Quran that he never fails in his promise - and also, I am a religious guy but I don't recite the quran regularly nor I pray every day 5 times a day
Please help me, I think that that wasn't the promise of Allah because I am not sure, whether he took my promise or not, What everyone is sure about the promise Allah is, because The Messenger of Allah told us that Allah has promised us paradise, that everyone is sure about, but I am not sure about this, so I cannot call that this was a promise made by Allah, Please Answer Muslims.

You made the promise to him, thus u are responsible, he will never be responsible for what u do.
You should fast 3 days if u broke the promise with the intention of forgiveness of allah...And pray to allah extra that he forgives u; becuase you will surely be questioned about it on the day of judgement.
Also, a religious guy is someone that prays 5 times, abides by the shariah, lowers his gaze everyday...
[042:025] And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do.
Remember Allah is ALL forgiving...

Asalaamu alaikum. As you can see from the above verse from the Qur'aan, Allah will forgive you if you sincerely repent. So don't despair, and cancel out your sins with good deeds. May Allah forgive you and guide you, ameen. |
